In 2009, she debuted as a singer with the recording of her first EP, “Rebeca”, executive produced by Basakato Yeiyeba and comprised of two songs sung in Bubi: “Ohoeá” and “Basakato Yeiyeba”. After the release of the project in 2012, she participated as a special guest at the Cultural Week of Basakato of La Sagrada Familia (Basakato de La Sagrada Familia, Bioko, Equatorial Guinea). At the same time, she began her career as a beatmaker and music producer, after learning self-taught, on SoundCloud and YouTube under the artistic name of Lil Becky, which later changed to Becky Braidz.
In parallel, in 2011, she attended painting classes at the Cultural Center of La Paz (Fuenlabrada, Madrid, Spain) and participated in the painting exhibition of Women's Day 2012. Then in 2013, she took a career break and went to South Africa as an exchange student with the organisation AFS Intercultural Programs. A year later she moved to London.
In 2016, she decided to change her artistic name to Böitaari (bubi name that could be translated as “woman leader”) to embrace her origins and devoted herself exclusively to music production. In 2018, she began to become popular on Audiomack since several of her instrumentals were added by the platform to different trending lists. Moreover, she joined the Oxford Brookes Dance Society and attended urban dance classes for a year. In 2019, after another 9 months of professional break, she released “Hommage”, an instrumental in memory of DJ Arafat.
Currently, in addition to music production, she is working on graphic design and photography projects.
